Everything about getting started, connecting accounts, building and testing strategies, automation, risk controls and more.

Getting Started

What is OneTapTrade?

OneTapTrade is a trading automation platform that allows traders to create, test, automate and deploy trading strategies from one place. It is built to help traders spend less time monitoring charts while maintaining control over their strategies, risk and accounts.

How do I get started with OneTapTrade?

Getting started is simple. Create your OneTapTrade account using your email or Google account, complete the onboarding process, and connect a supported MT5 trading account. Once connected, you can create or configure a strategy, backtest it and deploy it when you're ready.

Is there a free trial or free account?

No. OneTapTrade currently operates on a paid subscription model. The platform is available for $99 per month or $999 per year.

Do I need to complete KYC?

No. OneTapTrade does not require KYC to create an account. We do have a short onboarding process to help you get set up and understand the platform.

Can I explore OneTapTrade before connecting a trading account?

Currently, you need to connect a supported trading account to use the platform's trading automation features.

Connecting Your Broker

Which brokers are supported?

OneTapTrade currently supports FXPro for broker-based trading through MT5.

Support for additional brokers may be introduced as the platform develops.

How do I connect my broker account?

OneTapTrade connects to your MT5 account through our API connection. You will need your MT5 login ID, password and server name to connect your account.

Once connected, your account can be managed through the OneTapTrade platform.

Does OneTapTrade hold my trading funds?

No. OneTapTrade is a technology company and does not hold, manage or custody customer funds.

Your funds remain with your broker or prop firm. OneTapTrade provides the technology used to automate and manage trading activity on your connected account.

Connecting a Prop Firm

Can I use OneTapTrade with a prop firm?

Yes. OneTapTrade supports compatible prop-firm accounts, including FXIFY and FTMO, through MT5.

Can I automate a prop-firm account?

Yes. Once your compatible prop-firm MT5 account is connected, you can choose the account within the OneTapTrade automation controls, configure your risk settings and deploy your strategy.

You remain responsible for ensuring that your strategy and trading activity comply with your prop firm's rules.

Does OneTapTrade provide the prop-firm account?

No. You obtain your prop-firm account directly from the relevant provider. OneTapTrade provides the technology to automate trading on your compatible account.

Strategy Creation

Can I create my own trading strategy?

Yes. OneTapTrade allows you to turn your trading ideas and rules into automated strategies.

However, it is important to understand that a human trader and an algorithm do not interpret the market in exactly the same way. A trader may use experience, discretion, context or visual judgement, while an algorithm follows the rules and conditions it has been given.

Because of this, an automated version of a manually traded strategy may produce different results. The clearer and more objective the rules are, the more accurately they can be translated into automation.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. OneTapTrade is designed to make strategy automation accessible without requiring you to be a developer.

You can define your trading logic and use the platform's tools to turn your idea into an automated strategy.

Can I describe my strategy in natural language?

Yes. OneTapTrade includes AI-assisted strategy creation that can help translate a trading idea into an automated strategy.

However, AI cannot guarantee a 100% identical interpretation of your strategy. The resulting strategy should therefore be reviewed, tested and refined before deployment.

Can I modify my strategy?

Yes. OneTapTrade is designed to allow traders to refine their strategies and adjust their trading logic before deploying them.

Backtesting & Results

Can I backtest my strategy before deploying it?

Yes. Backtesting is an important part of the OneTapTrade workflow.

You can test your strategy against historical market data and evaluate its performance before deciding whether to deploy it.

What can I see in the backtester?

Depending on the strategy and data available, you can review key performance metrics including:

  • Win rate
  • Profit factor
  • Drawdown
  • Number of trades
  • Equity curve
  • Average win and loss
  • Overall strategy performance
Where does the backtesting data come from?

The OneTapTrade backtester is connected to MT5 and Exness data sources, allowing market data to be pulled into the backtesting environment.

However, results can vary between brokers and trading environments.

Why can my backtest results differ from my live results?

Backtesting cannot perfectly reproduce every condition of live trading.

Differences can occur because of factors such as spread, slippage, latency, execution conditions and differences in market data between brokers or platforms.

If you trade with a different broker or platform from the data source used for your backtest, your live results may therefore differ.

Why might my automated results differ from how I trade manually?

A human trader can use discretion, experience, market context and visual interpretation when making trading decisions.

An automated strategy does not have that same human discretion. It follows the rules and conditions it has been programmed to follow.

This means an automated strategy may enter, exit or manage a trade differently from how you would have traded it manually.

Automation & Deployment

How do I deploy a strategy?

Once you are satisfied with your strategy and are ready to automate it, you can deploy it directly through OneTapTrade.

Select the account you want to use, configure your risk settings and deploy the automation.

Can I choose which account to deploy my strategy to?

Yes. Your connected accounts are available within the automation controls, allowing you to select the account you want to deploy your strategy to.

Can I choose how much I risk?

Yes. OneTapTrade includes risk-management controls that allow you to configure the amount of risk allocated to your automation.

How many strategies can I run?

You can run up to five strategies per account simultaneously.

Can I stop my automation?

Yes. OneTapTrade provides a kill switch that allows you to stop your running automations.

You can also configure account-level risk limits that can automatically stop your running strategies when predefined limits are reached.

Risk Management & Trade Control

Can I set a daily risk limit?

Yes. OneTapTrade allows you to configure account-level risk limits.

For example, you could set a daily risk limit of $100 and an overall limit of $400.

If your configured limit is reached, the running automations can be stopped for the day and resume according to the configured rules on the following trading day.

What happens when my risk limit is reached?

When a configured account-level limit is reached, OneTapTrade can stop the running automations for that account.

This is designed to help prevent the system from continuing to trade beyond the risk parameters you have established.

Can I manually control trades?

Yes. Human control is a core part of OneTapTrade.

Through the website, you can manually manage your trading activity, including actions such as closing or modifying positions, while maintaining control over your automation.

Can I close an automated trade manually?

Yes. You can manually close an automated position through the OneTapTrade platform.

Can I modify my trades manually?

Yes. You can manage your positions through the platform, including manual trade adjustments where supported.

Can I pause or stop an automation?

Yes. You can control your automations through the platform and use the kill switch to stop running strategies.

Monitoring & Account Management

Can I monitor my trading from OneTapTrade?

Yes. OneTapTrade provides a central dashboard where you can monitor your connected accounts and automated strategies.

What can I see on the dashboard?

Your dashboard provides visibility into both live and historical trading activity, including:

  • Account balance
  • Equity
  • Open positions
  • Current P&L
  • Trade history
  • Bot status
  • Strategy status
  • Performance information
  • Risk information

This allows you to monitor your automated trading without having to manage everything directly through MT5.

Funds & Withdrawals

Does OneTapTrade hold my money?

No.

OneTapTrade never holds customer funds. Your money remains with your broker or prop firm.

OneTapTrade is a technology platform that provides trading automation and account-management tools.

How do I withdraw my trading profits?

Withdrawals are handled directly through your broker or prop firm.

OneTapTrade does not process, hold or control your trading funds, so withdrawal procedures depend on the broker or prop firm where your funds are held.

Does OneTapTrade have access to my funds?

No. OneTapTrade does not custody customer funds.

Your relationship regarding deposits, withdrawals and account funds remains directly with your broker or prop firm.

Pricing

How much does OneTapTrade cost?

OneTapTrade currently offers two subscription options:

  • Monthly: $99/month
  • Annual: $999/year
Do I have to pay my broker or prop firm separately?

Yes. Your OneTapTrade subscription is separate from any fees charged by your broker or prop firm.

For example, if you use a prop-firm account, any challenge, account or other fees charged by that provider are paid directly to the provider.

Risk & Disclaimer

Does OneTapTrade guarantee profits?

No.

OneTapTrade does not guarantee profits, returns, win rates or trading performance. Trading financial markets involves significant risk, and automated trading does not eliminate that risk.

Backtested or historical performance is not a guarantee of future results.

Is OneTapTrade financial advice?

No. OneTapTrade is a technology platform, not a financial adviser.

We provide tools for strategy creation, backtesting, automation, deployment and account management. Users are responsible for their own trading decisions, strategies and risk.

Is automated trading risk-free?

No. Automation can help execute a defined strategy consistently, but it cannot eliminate market risk.

Factors including market volatility, spreads, slippage, latency, execution conditions and technical issues can affect live trading results.

Users should understand their strategy and risk before deploying an automated system.

Is OneTapTrade a broker or prop firm?

No. OneTapTrade is a trading technology and automation company. We do not operate as a broker or prop firm, and we do not hold customer funds.

Our role is to provide the technology that allows users to automate and manage their trading strategies.

The OneTapTrade Difference

What makes OneTapTrade different?

OneTapTrade brings the core components of trading automation together in one ecosystem.

Instead of having to find separate tools for strategy creation, backtesting, automation, deployment and monitoring, OneTapTrade is designed to bring them together in one place.

Most importantly, automation does not mean giving up control.

  • You choose the strategy.
  • You define the risk.
  • You choose the account.
  • You decide when to deploy.
  • And you remain in control.
What does “The Unfair Advantage” mean?

The Unfair Advantage represents our vision for OneTapTrade: giving traders the technology they need to automate their own edge without having to piece together multiple platforms and tools.

From strategy creation to backtesting, deployment and monitoring, everything is designed to work together under one roof.

OneTapTrade. The Unfair Advantage.
